Sweetwater Campground Ranch & Riding Stables is seeking a Facilities & Grounds Specialist to help maintain, improve, and support the daily operations of our campground, ranch, and event venue. This role is essential to ensuring our property is safe, functional, welcoming, and ready for guests and events year-round.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, operating equipment, and interacting with guests. You’ll work closely with our General Manager to keep facilities running smoothly and to support events, seasonal needs, and guest success.

About the Role

1. Facilities & Grounds Maintenance

Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, and water-line fixes
Mow and maintain grounds during the summer; blow leaves and perform seasonal cleanup during winter
Trim trees, clear brush, and maintain landscaped areas
Maintain and repair gravel roads, pads, and common areas
Inspect facilities regularly to identify issues and address them proactively
Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are organized and properly stored

2.Event Setup & Support

Set up and break down for events, including:
Moving picnic tables, chairs, and equipment
Placing banners, signage, speakers, and event materials
Assist with event logistics as needed, including occasional support at the concession stand (grilling, setup, cleanup)

3. Guest Support & Customer Experience

Greet guests and assist with finding sites, hookups, and ensuring utilities are working properly
Troubleshoot RV hookups (water, electric, sewer) and resolve issues when possible
Provide friendly, helpful customer service to ensure a positive guest experience

4. Equipment & Operations

Operate and maintain equipment such as:
Tractors
Mowers
Utility vehicles
Other grounds and maintenance equipment
Assist with building or repairing structures as needed
Move equipment and materials safely and efficiently across the property

5. Team Collaboration

Work closely with the General Manager and operations team to prioritize facility needs
Respond to maintenance requests and urgent issues promptly
Be flexible and available during weekends and holidays, which are core business times for the campground

6. Requirements & Qualifications

Prior experience in facilities, maintenance, construction, landscaping, or similar hands-on roles
Comfortable performing basic plumbing and electrical repairs
Experience operating tractors, mowers, or similar equipment preferred
Strong customer service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with guests
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Physically capable of lifting, moving, and performing manual labor
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Weekend and holiday availability is required
