About the event

Sweetwater’s Halloween season begins with a weekend packed full of family fun and festive frights! Decorate your site for the Spookiest Campsite Contest, then join in the excitement with trunk-or-treating and our HOWL-O-WEEN costume contest on Saturday.

Both Friday and Saturday evenings will feature our fan-favorite Haunted Hayrides, winding through the campground for a not-too-spooky thrill the whole family can enjoy. On Saturday night, the celebration continues with live music from Makin’ Groceries Band, a rock & roll group from Metairie that will keep the energy high and the dance floor moving.

From decorations to costumes, candy to campfire music, HOWL-O-WEEN Kickoff Weekend sets the stage for a month of fall fun at Sweetwater! 🍂
