Directions

I-12, Robert Exit (exit 47) -
- Drive north on Hwy 445 for approx. 8 miles.
- Turn left at Hwy 40.
- At 1st stop sign (Jct 40 / 443), turn right.
- Stay on Hwy 443 (Loranger Rd.), approx. 6 miles.
- Road takes a 90 degree turn to the left.
- At stop sign, turn right.
- SWEETWATER on corner of Cory & N Cooper Rd.

I-55, Independence Exit (exit 40): (Scenic Route)
- Drive east on Hwy 40.
- Drive through small town of Independence (1 mile after exit).
- At the traffic light, cross over RR tracks, road veers to the
right, take 1st left back onto Hwy 40. (Car Wash & Dollar General on
corner.)
- After crossing over the Tangipahoa River (approx. 2 miles),
Hwy 40 curves to the right and starts traveling uphill.
- At the top of the hill (Hilltop Grocery Store on corner), turn left at Jct 1054.
- Take 1st right (1/10th mile) onto E. Cooper Rd.
- Approx. 2.5 miles, E. Cooper Rd takes a 90 degree turn to the
left and turns into N. Cooper Rd.
- Approx. 1.7 miles, SWEETWATER on right (corner of N. Cooper
Rd and Cory Rd.)

BIG RIGS....For a route with lesser curves, instead of turning left at
Jct. 1054, continue on Hwy 40 exactly 3.5 miles. Turn left on
Straughn Nursery Road. (There is a SWEETWATER direction sign
just before Straughn Nursery Rd.) At the stop sign turn left onto
Cory Road. (There is a SWEETWATER direction sign just before
Cory Rd.) At the next stop sign take a right (N. Cooper Road).
(There is a SWEETWATER direction sign just before Cory Rd.)
SWEETWATER on right.

I-55, Amite Exit 46):
- Drive east on Hwy 16.
- Drive through town of Amite, cross over RR tracks.
- Approximately 2 miles further, you will pass up Jct. 1054
on your left.
- One (1) mile further is Jct. 1054 on your right.
- The next street is N. Bell Road - take a right.
- Follow signs.
- Veer left at the 90 degree curve;
- Approx. 2 miles, take a right on N. Cooper Road;
- Approx. 3 miles further, SWEETWATER on left.
